Absolutely delighted to announce that Displaced, a short documentary directed by Niamh Heery and funded by the Irish Film Board has won the Best Short Documentary Award at the 2016 Moondance International Film Festival! Displaced is a lyrical film about people who have lost their place in life and how they connect with what they have lost. It features refugees, emigrants, farmers and travelers, all of whom try hard to keep a grasp on the feeling of what is gone from their lives.
The festival, whose mission statement is ‘We honour filmmakers, writers & composers who actively increase awareness, provide multiple viewpoints and address complex social issues’ is held in Boulder, Colorado and this is the 17th annual festival.
Displaced will be screened as part of the festival on Sunday 4 September, St. Julien’s, Boulder at 6pm.
