Niamh Heery’s short documentary Practicing Law received its world premiere at Kerry International Film Festival on 19 October, in the beautiful St. Mary’s Church, Killarney. The Irish Shorts programme featured such a fun and meaningful selection of films and the audience reception was so amazing, thanks to Declan and all at KIFF.
Produced by Roisín Geraghty and developed with funding from Screen Ireland, the film follows teenage teams of legal eagles around Ireland as they traverse cases and argue tactics amidst victories, laughs and heartbreaks in the highest court in the country. This lighthearted observational documentary touches on educational inequality while brimming with the veracity of young people dealing with big moral questions.
