The final touches are being put on Niamh Heery’s latest short drama ‘Pause’, filmed on the sparsely inhabited island of Inishbiggle in Mayo during May.
The film stars Janine Hardy as a woman who arrives on an island in an altered state to confront her past. As she listens to old family tape recordings her surroundings begin to take on new life. The film mixes realist drama with touches of the surreal, playing out in a landscape that brings a touch of raw beauty to a personal story.
Pause was written and directed by Niamh Heery, Produced by Caoimhe Maguire, filmed by Kevin Minogue and VFX was done by Eric Dolan.
The film will be entered into film festivals internationally.
